Sashco Log Builder Caulk was developed to meet the stringent sealant needs of log homes. Its superior elasticity enables it to stretch and contract with log movement without cracking or pulling away. Log Builder creates a tight seal to keep water, wind, dust and bugs out of your home for many years.

Log Builder is a smooth sealant that is excellent for milled and hand-crafted log structures. Log Builder seals log joints and checks, and works well as a sealant between stacked logs. It is also compatible with most building materials. Log Builder is water-based, easy to use, and cleans up with soap and water.

Application Guide

• Where to use:  Exterior and interior
• Surface prep:  Clean and dry
• Application temperature:  40° F to 90° F
• Application methods:  Chink pump, bulk loading gun, ratchet gun.  Use backer material or other bond breaker in joints that are 1/4 inch wide by 1/2 inch deep or larger.
• Joint design:  Ideal joint depth: 1/2 of joint width (but no less than 1/4 inch or more than ½ inch)
• Clean up:  Soap and water
• Drying time:  Tack-free in less than 1 hour.  Cures in 3 weeks (1/2 inch thickness, 70° F, 50% relative humidity).
