Perma-Chink Log End Seal is a clear sealant developed to protect exposed log ends from deterioration caused by the elements. Ultraviolet rays, wind, rain, snow and ice all play a role in degrading wood surfaces. Of all log surfaces, the end grains of logs are by far the most vulnerable to moisture absorption and rot. Furthermore, log ends are often located in areas that are the most exposed to the elements. These factors created the need for the development of Log End Seal.
By preventing water from penetrating into log ends, Log End Seal provides an additional layer of protection against sun, wind and weather damage. To provide the best protection for your log ends, apply Log End Seal to your log ends after application of a quality, water resistant stain, and then apply a quality clear topcoat over the Log End Seal. Log End Seal was developed for use exclusively with Perma-Chink Lifeline wood finishes.
