One coat of Perma-Chink Prelude Clear Wood Primer fills wood pores and provides a surface that enables you to obtain a more uniform finish color over your entire house. Prelude prevents over absorption of pigmented stain, which is a common problem when staining porous wood. Prelude is ideal for use on wood that has been media blasted or pressure washed. In addition to providing the beauty of a more uniform stain color by preventing over absorption of stain, using Prelude will decrease your stain use and cost. Prelude also helps eliminate blotches and streaks.
Prelude, which contains UV Boost, a Perma-Chink additive that provides extra UV protection, retards graying due to UV exposure. Prelude was developed exclusively for Lifeline wood finishes. Prelude can be used on both exterior and interior wood surfaces. Prelude is a primer, and should never be used as a final finish. Prelude should not be used with Vista Deck stain.
